Media Associates International
The vision of Media Associates International (MAI) is to strengthen Christian publishing worldwide through training and encouragement. In countries and cultures with limited Christian publishing or witness, MAI’s training program stimulates the creation of books, periodicals and other written materials that nurture the church and attract general readers to Christ. Founded in 1985, MAI has conducted publishing, editorial, and writer training projects in more than 50 countries. On-the-job training is provided through consultations, internships, and workshops. MAI also publishes three e-newsletters--Words for the World, Inside MAI and Trainer Network--and training booklets on publishing skills. MAI organizes the triennial international print media training conference, LITT-WORLD. MAI’s international headquarters is in Carol Stream, Illinois; it also has offices in Great Britain, Ghana, Costa Rica and the Philippines. Media Diversity Institute
The London-based Media Diversity Institute is a secular non-profit, non-partisan organization that was set up to promote conflict resolution through diversity reporting in developing societies. The principle work of the Institute is the coordination and expansion of the Reporting Diversity Network (RDN), which brings together journalists, news organizations, media assistance centers, journalism schools and others in a collaborative effort to moblize the deeper public understanding of diversity, minority communities, inter-group conflict, and human rights. The RDN promotes the highest standards of professional journalism as they relate to coverage of minorities, diversity, and inter-ethnic relations, and develops the tools, training vehicles and practical reporting initiatives required to implement those standards. The Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism
The Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ) is a secular, independent, nonprofit media agency that specializes in investigative reporting. The Center believes that the media play a crucial role in scrutinizing and strengthening democratic institutions and promoting public welfare. The PCIJ contribute to this end by promoting investigative reporting on current issues in Philippine society and on matters of large public interest. The initiatives of Reporters without Borders, a secular organization, are being carried out on five continents through its national branches (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, UK, Italy, Sweden, and Switzerland) and its offices around the world.
